Our molded planked pilot house walls have life preservers, handrails, fire extinguisher, detailed doors & cabinets. We use the finest pewter castings for fittings
Information: Our Kit/Model attempts to bring you an "N" scale version of a vessel that would have been common from early 1900 to present along the coast of Maine, NH & Mass. If you prefer, use it as a coastal cargo vessel along the entire east of west coast.This finished model can be used as a "Stand Alone" model or as a fine addition to you "N" scale train layout.Our polyurethane resin hull & parts have extensive detail that will save many hours of work. The Sardine/Coastal freight carrier is a well built vessel. Vessel lengths up to sixty feet with thirteen foot beams were common in the early 1900s. Booms and eventually even masts disappeared and deck houses sprouted. The 1950s marked the heyday of the sardine industry and boats of eighty feet long with seventeen foot beams were common.
